Dear Brother Milo,

Just a brief report on the PNG National Days of Prayer 6/9 - 7/9 2006, which you might want to share with the body of Christ in the Pacific.

The National Days of Prayer was declared and gazetted in the Laws of PNG as a National annual event by Prime Minister late Bill Skate and his government in 1998. This event has never been observed widely by the Church or government in previous years. However, spiritual ground works in PNG intensified after the release of the Pacific from the Cairns' APPA & Bethany Gate convocation. This is the first year in 9 years after the declaration and gazettal for these days to be observed widely throughout the nation.

Following are the spiritually significant events that took place during the two days of prayer for PNG, based on biblical acts by Gideon, King Asa and the patriarch Isaac (Judges 6, 2 Chronicles 14 and Genesis 26:25):

1. Evening of Tuesday 5/9/06 - Pastors from Port Moresby Ministers Fraternal and Intercessors from the body of Christ gathered at the old Hubert Murray stadium and declared the smashing, pulling down and uprooting of all false alters and foundations in PNG.

2. Morning of Wednesday 6/9/06 - Pastors from Port Moresby Ministers Fraternal and Intercessors from the body of Christ gathered at the Independence hill at parliament house and set up the proper alter and new foundation on Christ for PNG

3. Morning of Wednesday 6/9/06 - After the setting up of the proper alter, the Prime Minister of PNG Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare dedicated PNG back to God and declared Jesus Christ as Lord and King of PNG by prayer followed by raising "JESUS CHRIST IS KING" flag on the flag pole at parliament house, followed by the PNG National Flag. The Sofar was blown to declare this act, people cried out aloud and felt the ground shock.

4. Reading of Psalms 23 - The Lord is PNG's Shepherd from this day onwards.

There is agreement amongst Pastors, Intercessors and Christians that this is the dawning of a new day for PNG. So the process of reconciliations, forgiveness, clean up and positive work has began until the Glory of God is fully manifested in PNG. Thereafter, PNG will launch the Glory of God back to Jerusalem through the nations of the earth.

Shabbat Shalom.
