(Jaq1.es R~pert, Maryvale Church of the Nazarene;Phbenix) Psalm 133:1&3 says, "When brothers dwell together in unity. . . there the Lotd ~ommands His blessing." Many pastors saw a fulfimnent oHhat promise as they prayed fOj God to
have His way in their liv~es,their cllurche's, aJ)d"tJ:leir communities. Becaus~ of GQd's respins~ to their cries of desB,.eration, pastors"'. left the Summit with a desire to be "Messengers of Hop.e~' to their congregations.
As the pastors focused upon the Lord they no longer saw tJ:t.eir differences but experienced a new bond of unity.
"My experience auhe Prayer Summit ~as one of identifying inaNeryreal way wha1 it is like when a people dwell together under the influence of the Holy
SpIrit. Por a period of 48
hours we experienced life
in the Spirit, with little of
the fl~sh-life present. It
was a place to hear tlle

"What was or special

~"I enjoyed the Prayer SummitJa;,tyear-, but found this to be even more wonderful as we experienced a time of refreshing, seeking His face, and sensing a bond o(unity. Our focus this year was more on Him and;less on ourselves. I just want to encourage more pastors to atter:!d next year." (David Edgington, First Evangelical Free Church, Phoenix)
"The Prayer Symmitwasof great benefiHo me. It helped me build relationships with the other pastors in my area o~the city as we praye!i and shared together." (Mark Morgan, East Valley Vineyard, Mesa, Ariz.)
