Home begins in holiness

Immorality at the outset destroys the foundations.

For ultimate belonging is in our security with God himself.

The amazing outpouring of his love we experience in the Holy Spirit is the foundation of identity. For he is the structuer of the universe. He is the foundation of contracts. The Biblical word is covenants. He covenants with us.

Without that we drift with the vagaries of culture or psychological theories, some of which align with his word, a lot of which are twaddle. Very unstable. Very dangerous this world of would be counselors making money.

He is our place of standing our turangawaiwai, our place of being, our refuge and our hope. We don’t practice yoga but meditation with content. The content of the word of God. Meditation on nthingness leads us to nothingness.

With that as foundation, then we can build a family relationship based on a legal commitment. We don’t go into business without a legal foundation. How much more marriage. Without that a woman has no security. To steal a woman’s dream of a wedding day is to be an abuser. The man is an abuser taking but not providing security. Love helps but is not sufficient when the other is imperfect. Hence poetry trying to figure out why woman is imperfect or drama of Shakespeare discerning why men are fickle. And neither poetry nor drama succeeding.

But for the sake of the gospel and the mobility of preaching a couple or person may choose to forsake home and the Lord will provide. He has done this, his promise is that he will multiply a hundredfold our sacrifice.

For those not called then there is the need for a secure place. This I have provided for my family at every turn till today when Capitalism just stole all we have built by escalating prices 27% in a year of housing.

I can only ask the Lord to fulfil his promises
